A recent consumer survey revealed a high degree of suspicion associated with contractor’s that work in the Home Improvement Industry. In fact, more than 40% of the individuals surveyed said they consider the industry below average with respect to integrity and ethics.
Examples cited in the survey include contractors who make promises they don’t keep. Those who take advance payments and never show up again and others who start the job then disappear…or don’t finish the job within a reasonable time period.

Unfortunately, it may be five years before the problems arise…by then contractors are no longer in business or impossible to reach. Sometimes it means the home improvement needs to be partially replaced, in many cases, the home improvement must be torn down and completely replaced.
